My newly adopted one year Jack-Chi doesn't eat dry food

I just adopted a one year old Jack-Chi from shelter 10 days ago. He doesn't like dry food. In the first few days, we have to hand feed him the dry food which was mixed with the supply from the shelter. He only took very small amount. Now he refuses to eat any kibble. He will turn his head away when we present the dry food to him. He will eat the canned dog food or the boiled ground beef I made. He doesn't like treats either. We took him to the vet right after we got him and he is very healthy. A lot of postings say dry food is the best choice for dogs and we should try to starve him for few meals so he will eventually eat the dry food . I want to guide him to the right food but at the mean time, I don't want to see him starving all day.

Traveling through canada

I have two ferrets, i have been trying to find out what documents i need to cross the border. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

My dog got out and allegedly bit someone

hello, I live in Ontario Canada and recently I came home from work to find my family looking for my jack russell who had just got out. WE found him being held back from 2 cats tied to leads in my neighbors yard (we live in the country). With the cats was a women who's hands were all cut up (in my opinion, and based on my dogs temperment) they were cat scratches. Anyway, I have been visited by public health and my dog has been quarantined to my home until the 10 say rabie quarantine has been lifted. I was also informed by the public health representative that the women was in hospital and was getting surgery on her hand. This is my worst nightmare and am really stressing out about the situation. any advice would go a long way to calming my frantic mind.
Thank you,
Josh

Should I worry?

My dog got into my neighbor's yard a few days ago- well, she always tries to go back and forth. Anyway- I let her stay- her brother and sister are over there, so I figured she'd come back to our yard when she was hungry. It's been two days and she hasn't come back- I called to her through the fence and it's as if she's having trouble moving her back legs. She's only 10 months old. I've called the vet and they want me to watch for vomitting and diarhea (I know I didn't spell that correctly). Any ideas? She's an outside dog, but is usually so excited to see us. I just am very worried!

Pets In Video Games

Does anyone know of any good video games with pets in them? I know there's Petz and the Fashion Fantasy Game, but are there any others?

Rabbits with sore hocks

Hi there,

I'm Ryan, and I've got a 2 year old standard rex rabbit (black otter coloring) named "Boris." (You can see a picture of him, here...The Standard Rex Rabbitry).

About a year ago, we discovered that he was showing signs of "sore hocks" (a condition characterized by irritation of the bottoms of his "heels"). My wife and I have come up with an interesting little solution to the problem. We have to bandage his little feet with "modified" baby socks.

Does anyone out there have experience in dealing with sore hocks?

Bengal Behavior

Hey,
I have two Snow Bengals and at a little over a year old they are just as crazy as kittens. Was just wondering if anyone had some older ones and could tell me if they settle down or they keep this playfull behavior? FYI, I am hoping they stay as active and inquisitive as they are now.

In need of help

So I'm having a few issues with my cats and living area. I still live at home with my parents and half of the basement is my own little living area. I have a total of 5 cats that share that space with me, however, my one cat Black Magic slipped out the one window when I had them open to air out my room. She came back but not alone. Of course she brought the ever growing annoyance, fleas, with her. Now I treated my cats and have been spraying my room down and all they seem to be getting is worse. And now my oldest cat Sarah who is 16 years old now isn't doing so well... Her fur is falling out and she's covered in scabbies from scratching so much. I honestly can't stay in my own room anymore, I sleep upstairs.
