I also have a beagle, and was quite surprised to find that she also REALLY likes fruit. Her favorites seem to be apricots, blueberries and cantelope. But basically any fruit will do in a pinch! I was not aware that beagles seem to be ruled by their stomachs. I suppose you could say that about any dog, but their sense of smell makes them super sensitive to any food aromas. Got a real kick out of the story and am glad that it all ended happily!
