Hi ... I loved your story. I, also, have a rescued dog (a Lhasa Apso) who was owner released two years ago as untrainable and unfriendly. She, too, is a certified therapy dog with Therapy Dogs International and is working with both the Milton Public Library (Milton, WI) and Hedberg Public Library (Janesville, WI) as a Tail Waggin' Tutor. I retired in early June so we'll be starting with first graders on a weekly basis at Jefferson Grade School in Janesville starting late September. With TLC and training, Maggie May has become an integral part of our community as well as being my best friend. See the Janesville Gazette (daily newspaper) article dated 5/27/11 which published a front page feature article on Maggie May and her Tail Waggin' Tutor gift to children.
