A proper dog restraint while traveling is also good for the passengers. My sister has a Japanese Shiba Inu named Inu. We took a trip driving from Indianapolis to Gatlinburg. It's a 7 hour drive and I was not excited about sharing the already cramped quarters with Inu. We had done the trip before and it was painful. But this time my sister had a dog car seat. I was amazed. Inu never tried to get out, never whimpered or whined, not even when I was eating french fries right under his nose. He sat quietly and peacefully the entire trip. The difference was like night and day.
